Bio
- Graduated from Harvard with a B.A. in English. Received a Canadian Bar Association fellowship to study law at Université Laval.
- Worked as a journalist for the late Philadelphia Bulletin (including as White House correspondent), Washington Post (including as investigative reporter), and Montreal Gazette (as investigative reporter, editorial writer, and columnist).
- Co-founded in 1977 Canada’s Centre for Investigative Journalism, now named Canadian Association of Journalists
- Dual Canadian and U.S. citizen
- Has lived in Montreal since 1973.
- Married to Penelope Morgan since 1968. They have four grown children.
