Other, more popular translations are available on the Internet. Search under &#8220;stela Piankhy&#8221; or &#8220;stela Piye.&#8221;The websites also provide historical information on Piankhy and his campaign.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Books<\/strong><br \/>\nThe following books are for younger readers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Robert Bianchi, The Nubians (Brookfield, CN: Millbrook Press, 1994).<\/li>\n<li> Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Wonders of the African World (Random House, 2001). This is the companion volume to an excellent PBS series of the same title. Aubin, <em>The Rescue of Jerusalem: The Alliance between Africans and Hebrews in 701 B.C.<\/em> (New York: Soho Press, and Toronto: Doubleday Canada, 2002). This is the only book that deals with the Assyrian threat at the time of Piankhy.<\/li>\n<li>L\u00e1szl\u00f3 T\u00f6r\u00f6k, <em>The Kingdom of Kush: Handbook of the Napatan-Meroitic Civilization<\/em> (Leiden-New York-K\u00f6ln, 1997).
